Meal/workout planning-Andi

When I do my best with eating healthy, it's because I plan my meals. When I start slacking on that is when I start slacking on eating healthy and going with the easiest version.
It also helps me cut down on food costs since I stick with the list of what I want.

This is similar to what I do, but mine's prettier and I type it up.
I try to make sure to use anything I've left from the week before in my next week's planning. I also make sure I have a ton of healthy snacks. I am the sort of person who is hungry every 2-3 hours, so snacks are a must. I'd eat ginormous meals all the time if I didn't.
When I do my best, I plan my meals and make sure I'm getting in enough protein, vegetables, fruits and complex carbs as well as vitamins and minerals, but that takes a lot of time if you do it as meticulously as I do.
But just focusing on getting in the right servings of colorful vegetables, enough protein sources and enough carbs tends to be enough to make me eat healthier.

I also do running/workout plans. I can't find a picture of what exactly I do, but I make it in a log format, with what I'm supposed to do and what I actually do and how I felt that day during the workout. If I don't get to it, I don't make a big deal of it, but I try to get at least the logging of the miles/times in.
When I'm done with Washington, I'll start posting my meal plans and running plans.

This is such a great idea. I think planning out meals is really the key to eating healthy and most importantly, saving money!!

Andi-what are some of the healthiest, yummiest snacks you eat? I guess that's where I'm having a problem...finding healthy snacks that are filling enough but not too overly filling.

I tend to snack on vegetables or fruits with some sort of dip. I like apples or carrots in peanut butter. Most other vegetables I like to dip in hummus.
I also make trail mix with lots of nuts and maybe some dried fruits. My favorite mix for trail mix is almonds, walnuts, pistachios and dried cranberries.
