I’ve completed two ½ marathons and I’m currently attempting to train for my first triathlon, as well as helping my mom prepare for her first 5k. I enjoy working out and recently started taking a spin class at my gym. My husband and I have a blast cooking together in the kitchen, and since I’m a fellow Weight Watcher, most of the dishes we prepare follow the Point System.
I hope this site will keep me accountable and help me get down to my goal weight. I also blog over at Jesstagirl and her Officer if you're so inclined to read more :)
I currently weigh 175 and my ultimate goal is to lose 15 pounds. I’ve recently started running and I average about 6-10 miles per week; however, running has taken its toll on my back, so I need to focus on other exercises I can do in addition to running so I can strengthen my core muscles. I also want to focus on preparing meals and eating right. Cooking for one is tough, so I tend to eat out a lot.
Anyway, if you are reading this, I appreciate you coming to the blog and I hope you will help all of us along on our journey, whether you know us or not. And feel free to take anything you learn here and apply it to your life, after all, we all have the right to bare arms!
Hello! My name is Jamie and I’m from Michigan. I’m an upbeat girl who is constantly traveling to see my military man, and working on feeling better about myself as well as getting more energy. I’ve been working hard and have already lost 15 pounds, but my goal is to lose another five to 10, and to start toning up. I’m also trying to adjust all of my health habits: working out regularly, eating healthy, sleeping well, and taking care of myself. Oh, and I can’t wait to be able to keep up with my boyfriend when he goes for a run!
