On a Break
Well I figured I'd get this blog rolling, although this post will be pretty lame compared to whats to come.
When it comes to getting fit, I think I'm what you would call a yo-yo exerciser. I get into these grooves, these fantastic routines that'll have me at the gym almost every day doing things I love (cardio, weight training, group classes, swimming, etc.), but then something will happen to disturb the flow. Here are some of my distractions in the past year: I got sick, moved, came back home, got married, went on a honeymoon, helped my husband prepare to deploy, switched gyms, didn't have a gym, it was too hot out, it was too cold out, etc.
My latest excuse happened about 10 days ago when I somehow pinched my sciatic nerve. I have intense pain on my lower right back and it sometimes radiates down my leg. Bending, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, and anything else that entails movement is completely out of the question. Needless to say, exercising is not happening for awhile and it's driving me crazy.
Hopefully I'll be back into full swing soon enough, because I'm really excited about this blog. I just wanted to let you all know why you may not hear from me for awhile.

You should definitely take a break from exercising! I think resting and taking care of yourself is most important to being healthy. I just hope you feel better!
