Yo-yoooooo!

Hi, my name is Abby, and I am a yo-yo exerciser.


Insert: Hi Abbyyyyy.

But seriously. I get on these kicks, where I decide to exercise like a crazy person and do all of this great stuff at the gym. In high school, I used to swim on a regular basis. Last year, I started doing Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred dvd. For a week, Collin and I hit the gym. I pay $25 a month to belong to a gym.

And then I get bored (i.e. lazy).

I also realized I require a workout buddy. It must be genetic, because I got a call from my mom today asking me to go walk with her. I usually run a few miles with my dad 3 times a week and my mom walks with my dad several mornings a week.

Guess what happened this week? My dad is out of town. And neither my mom nor I are working out.

So, in this first blog entry, I admit my faults. I am a yo-yo exerciser. However, I will be making strides to become more consistent in order to lose weight, tone up my body, and overall feel healthier. On my 101 in 1001 list, I have ambitions of completing 3 more 5ks, a 10k, and a mini-triathlon before September 2012, so I am going to have to stay on target.
